Our world class tutors are featured at the following events in Tobermory!
I've been friends with Natalie for over two decades and I'm delighted she said yes to my invitation to teach at Mull Fiddle Week 2025. She barely needs any introduction! A phenomenal musician and probably the most in-demand string teacher I know, of all genres, Natalie is so experienced in sharing her iconic and much sought after skills in cello accompaniment, as well as inspiring cellists to break free from the shackles of sheet-music - empowering them to play what they want to play and how they want to play it!
Vincent is a superb violinist and fiddle player - a rare example of the two stylistic approaches blending seamlessly, resulting in a versatile and highly pedagogically equipped teacher. We first met and taught together in France in 2020 and it turns out he is in love with Scottish fiddle music! We geeked out on fiddle technique and he is very much looking forward to sharing his methods and influences with us very soon.
Lauren is a wonderful, soulful musician and much sought after exponent of the Highland fiddle style. Her sound is so distinct and I suspect many wish her super powers could be bottled! She is deeply connected to the music she plays and a passionate and experienced teacher to boot, carefully dissecting the melodies and methods of her beloved Highland dialect. What's more, she's great company and I can't wait to share a few tunes with her over the course of the week.
The organising force behind Mull Fiddle Week! Patsy's unique approach to fiddle teaching has secured her as a popular choice at camps and courses across the globe. Patsy's commitment and dedication to teaching Scottish fiddle music through the lens of violin pedagogy and technique can almost be described as an obsession and she's got the performing career, discography and line of happy students to go with it.
We haven't crossed paths much but I've heard so many good things about John's groupwork classes over the years that I just knew he had to come to Mull and lead our whole group sessions! A trailblazing accordion player, John is also a fabulous composer and arranger and has toured extensively in popular bands such as Croft No. 5 and Treacherous Orchestra! Prepare to be loud and groovy!
