The wonderful team that bring you Mull Fiddle Week each year!
Laura, my partner in crime, has lived in Mull for over 20 years and helps me run Mull Fiddle Week. She is a fervent supporter of music education and set up Mull Music Makers, a free programme of music tuition for the island's youngsters (including her own two children!) Her family are responsible for the amazing seafood feast so if you are a fan of shellfish, she is our in-house expert! Her interests include local history, hiking, sea-swimming, learning fiddle and badminton. Laura was a marine biologist when she first moved to Mull and a bit of a linguist too - she became fluent in French and Greek during spells abroad. She is currently learning Gaelic.
The organising force behind Mull Fiddle Week! Patsy's unique approach to fiddle teaching has secured her as a popular choice at camps and courses across the globe. Patsy's commitment and dedication to teaching Scottish fiddle music through technique can almost be described as an obsession and she's got the performing career, discography and line of happy students to prove it.
The Volunteers that help us deliver Mull Fiddle Week!
I have lived on Mull since 2011, having defected from the East Coast! I picked up my fiddle again in 2023, after a 40 year hiatus no less and haven't looked back! I have a self catering business and have recently started a small knitwear side quest 🧶 I also work with Mull Music Makers doing pastoral care and am guardian to two cute Shetland ponies!
